Anemotracker App: Full user guide and documentation

Getting Started

1. Install the App

Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play.

 
 


2. Enable Bluetooth and Location

Make sure Bluetooth and Location services are turned on.

 
 


3. Launch the App

Open the app on your device.

4. Pairing Your Device

Open the side menu (‘Drawer Panel’) and tap on ‘Pair Portable/NCP’.

5. Selecting Your Device
  • A list of nearby compatible devices will appear.

  • The number on the right represents the signal strength: -20 is very strong, and -90 is very weak.

  • Devices are listed in order of signal strength, with the strongest signal at the top.

  • If you’re unsure which device is yours, bring it closer to your phone; it should appear at the top of the list.

  • You can also filter devices by MAC address or name.

6. Renaming Your Device
  • You can change the nickname of your device.

  • Simply tap the device name in the connected devices list in the side menu.

  • The next time you search for your device, you can filter by this name.

  • This nickname is unique to each smartphone/tablet.

7. Taking Measurements

Place a wind source over the anemometer and observe the measurements displayed in the app.
