The video shows a Calypso ULP anemometer installed at 70 m from ground level on a +100 m tower to get free air flow as per the latest wind assessment standards. This is a 40m/s unit working on a RS485 POLL (on demand) protocol to communicate with the tower data logger. A number of top quality anemos (both mechanical and ultrasonic) are mounted at different heights. They all send us signals multiplexed to the data logger to be registered and relayed on track time. A tailor made software is then used by the wind engineering team to account the tower asking other effects and yield final wind resource assessment.
